The Fish Box – The quintessential harbour meal…

A good plate of fish and chips is like a holiday on a plate. Whether it’s that first crunch of golden batter or the subtle flavour of delicately steamed fish, you can’t help but think back on childhood memories of fun, sun and a salty sea breeze. Since summer is in the air, it seems fitting to share our favourite fish and chips shop with you…

We’re open until 7pm every evening so stop past after work for an early dinner.

The Fish Box is next to the entrance on the Robinson Dry Dock side of the market.

Did you know…

A previous world record for the “largest serving of fish and chips” was held by Gadaleto’s Seafood Market in New Paltz, New York. This 2004 record was broken by Yorkshire pub Wensleydale Heifer in July 2011. An attempt to break this record was made by Doncaster fish and chip shop Scawsby Fisheries in August 2012, which served 33 pounds (15 kg) of battered cod alongside 64 pounds (29 kg) of chips.
